Assistant to the Project Manager (Montreal)

Job Description:

We are seeking an assistant to the project manager to join the administrative manager’s team. This person will play a key role in providing administrative and organizational support for electrical construction projects. They will work closely with project managers to ensure the smooth execution of mandates, from planning to completion.

Benefits:

  • A salary range of $60,000 to $70,000 per year, based on experience.
  • A permanent, full-time day position (40 hours/week).

  • Possibility of hybrid work arrangement.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Assist project managers in the preparation and administrative follow-up of project files.
  • Perform data entry, formatting, and updating of documents (contracts, quotes, plans, purchase orders, etc.).
  • Coordinate the flow of information between clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams.
  • Track schedules, prepare progress reports, and ensure efficient filing of documents.
  • Manage correspondence and handle project-related calls and emails.
  • Perform various administrative tasks related to budget tracking, invoicing, and document management.
  • Support the team with any other clerical tasks specific to electrical construction projects.
  • All other related tasks.

Required Skills:

  • Possess a DEP or DEC in office administration, management, or any other relevant training.
  • Have 2 to 4 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in the construction or electrical field.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Have strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and be comfortable with project management software.
  • Have the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Sense of initiative, autonomy, and excellent communication skills.
