Under the authority of the Director of Structures and Buildings, the Division Manager oversees projects related to structures and buildings within their territory or service. They guide and provide functional supervision to team members to ensure compliance with laws, standards, and client requirements. They assist the Director in managing and allocating project portfolios while acting as a project manager on complex or large-scale initiatives in the field of structures and buildings.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development of service proposals and cost estimation.
- Provide functional supervision to engineers, CPIs, drafters, surveyors, and site supervisors, offering feedback and ensuring compliance with professional and quality standards.
- Plan, organize, and schedule projects from start to completion, adhering to timelines, specifications, and budgets.
- Prepare and present budget forecasts for projects.
- Develop and implement quality control programs.
- Generate progress reports, monitoring programs, technical reports, and documents required by authorities.
- Manage the invoicing of assigned mandates.
- Support the supervisor in assessing workforce needs and participate, if necessary, in the recruitment of subcontractors or staff.
- Collaborate with company members, advise, support, and motivate them.
- Provide technical support to the team.
- Contribute to the creation or modification of work procedures.
- Monitor project progress and maintain effective communication with clients.
- Stay informed about new trends, methods, and technologies to identify opportunities or risks.
- Perform any other related tasks.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction engineering
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in civil engineering, ideally in municipal infrastructure.
- Be a member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
- Functional knowledge of English (spoken and written)
- In-depth expertise in civil engineering, specialized in municipal infrastructure.
- Training in occupational health and safety on construction sites (ASP Construction card).
- Ability to build collaborative and trusting relationships with employees, clients, suppliers, government authorities, and management.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Attention to detail, autonomy, rigor, and methodical approach.
- Effective communication with team members.
- Valid driver’s license and possession of a vehicle.
