Quality Assurance Expert (Trois-Rivières)

Description

We are looking for a senior-quality assurance expert (QA) to oversee the quality of our products, with a particular focus on software versions and integration with other components such as robotics, welding, and mechanical systems. The QA manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our products meet the highest quality standards, aligned with company and product objectives. The ideal candidate should demonstrate a collaborative approach and a strong commitment to improving our quality standards. This position is a full-time telecommuting role with a minimum of 2-3 days per month travel to the Trois-Rivières office as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the product development team, cross-functional teams (software, robotics, welding processes), and various stakeholders to align quality assurance efforts.
  • Participate in product testing and validation efforts.
  • Monitor and analyze test results and assist in identifying issues.
  • Evaluate and improve quality assurance processes, methodologies, and tools.
  • Provide recommendations and guidance to the product manager, team managers, and development teams to ensure product quality.
  • Ensure our products align with specifications.
  • Develop a testing vision and release approval procedure.
  • Participate in developing test strategies and tactics.

Required Skills

  • Essential bilingualism (oral and written) to communicate with various international partners (75% of the time).
  • University or college education in a technological field.
  • 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in a leadership role in quality assurance or similar role, preferably in a software-focused product environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Experience in test automation at different levels (unit, integration, end-to-end).
  • Strong experience and understanding of product development and engineering practices.
  • Experience with integration and regression testing on complex products, strongly desired.
  • Experience in the robotics field or related area would be an asset.
  • Quality assurance certification would be an asset.
