Developer of embedded systems & software

Description

In collaboration with the engineering team members, you will be called upon to use your technical expertise to design and implement control algorithms for passenger train doors, as well as to support and enhance existing products.

Tasks

  • Microcontroller programming
  • Development of client interface applications (Windows environment)
  • Microcontroller circuit design
  • Design and implementation of test benches
  • Participation in research and development activities for new control systems
  • Validation of prototype systems
  • Technical support for production
  • Technical customer support for products
  • Technical documentation of projects
  • Writing of documents related to production and customers (test procedures, etc.)
  • Potential for service missions
  • Occasional training of our customers on products

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience in embedded systems development, microcontrollers, etc.
  • Good knowledge of low-level programming, C, C++, data structures, algorithms, real-time control
  • Knowledge of logic and analog circuits
  • Autonomous but capable of working in a team with technical judgment, practical sense, creativity, and attention to detail
  • Known for being persuasive, a leader, and a motivator who adapts easily to changes
  • Understanding of digital servoing, software engineering concepts, relevant experience in the passenger transport industry
  • The candidate must also be willing to travel occasionally to Canada, the United States, Europe, and Asia (approximately 10-15%)
