Senior Buyer

Description

Working closely with the administrative team and project manager, you will leverage your expertise to oversee the entire procurement process.

Activities

  • Support procurement strategy (demonstrate supplier selection)
  • Define and coordinate requests for quotations
  • Participate in evaluating supplier capability and capacity
  • Responsible for supplier performance indicators
  • Meet colleagues for a quick coffee break in our multifunctional cafeteria
  • Ensure adequate procurement for project fulfillment
  • Participate in meetings with clients (external and internal) and assess impact on supplier contracts and project schedule (if change requests arise)
  • Engage in team activities (one or more!)
  • Collaborate in project budgeting
  • Define ‘key’ processes to enhance organizational performance

Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of local and international supply chains
  • Ability to develop business relationships with suppliers to facilitate negotiations
  • Sharp negotiation skills focused on company financial performance
  • Comfort with technical drawings and understanding of Bill of Materials (BOM)
  • Recognized for customer service and teamwork
  • Proactive and skilled in risk management
  • Bilingual with strong communication skills
  • Capable of identifying business improvement opportunities
