Senior Buyer

Summary

We are seeking a Senior Buyer to join our Purchasing and Logistics team. This individual will play a significant role within our company, responsible for participating in various projects, collaborating with other departments, and reporting directly to the Director of Purchasing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Actively participate in various projects within our establishment, closely collaborating with other departments.
  • Procurement and Negotiation: Work with internal and engineering services to assist, suggest, negotiate, purchase, and track all supplies and services related to plant projects.
  • Supply Management: Ensure timely, quality, and quantity procurement while respecting budget constraints for raw materials and components.
  • Collaboration and Strategy: Develop strategic agreements in collaboration with the Enterprise Logistics Department and submit proposals for agreements with suppliers.
  • Inventory: Supervise the annual inventory count and maintain profitable stock management.

Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the smooth operation of the company by applying existing standards and procedures.
  • Participate in mandatory meetings and training sessions.

Human Responsibilities:

  • Foster a stimulating work environment focused on exchange and collaboration.
  • Maintain effective communications within the company.

Health/Safety at Work Responsibilities:

  • Respect emergency measures plans and adhere to the company’s health and safety policy.

Quality and Process Improvement:

  • Perform work according to current policies and procedures.
  • Participate in the work improvement process.
  • Suggest any modifications in procedures.

Skills Profile:

  • Education: University degree in management, logistics, or related field.
  • Experience: Over 20 years of experience in a buyer role, with demonstrated negotiation skills and excellent knowledge of purchasing and negotiation techniques.
  • Skills: Bilingualism, mastery of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and inventory management experience.
  • Personal Qualities: Calm, respectful, organized, structured, excellent communicator, creative, independent, and sociable.
