Automation and Robotics Specialist (Trois-Rivières)

Description

The Robotics and Automation Developer will be responsible for designing and developing robotic and automation solutions to enhance the efficiency and productivity of our products within the development team. This role will play a key part in innovating and implementing advanced technologies within our company and will report to the Technical Project Manager. The position will be based at our client’s office in Trois-Rivières with the possibility of 1-2 days of telecommuting (depending on projects).

Responsibilities

  • Develop robotic cells.
  • Design, select components, program, and test robotic systems and automated solutions.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate robotic and automated systems into our various products.
  • Contribute to product enhancement by maintaining and improving existing systems to maximize performance and reliability.
  • Assist in writing manuals, procedures, and technical specifications.
  • Participate in development prioritization with the team leader and product development director.
  • Provide technical support for post-deployment robotic and automated systems.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues online or on-site.
  • Plan and perform required services on equipment.
  • Train clients on equipment use and maintenance.
  • Supervise and assist the team during equipment installations at client sites.
  • Commission equipment and perform required validations.
  • Stay updated on the latest robotics and automation technologies and evaluate their potential applicability.

Qualities Required

  • DEC / BAC in automation or robotics.
  • Experience in a similar role required.
  • Essential bilingualism in speaking and writing to communicate with various international partners and clients (75% of the time).
  • Availability for occasional international travel.
  • Valid passport.
