Manufacturing Engineer

Description

In collaboration with Alan and the rest of the team, you will be responsible for analyzing manufacturing processes, improving processes and equipment, ensuring design parameters are controlled by the manufacturing process, and creating and maintaining work instructions. This role involves frequent interaction with internal customers regarding technical aspects of the manufacturing process and existing designs.

Tasks

  • Assist in defining and documenting assembly process specifications
  • Analyze build issues to determine root causes and define rework instructions as needed
  • Interact with internal customers for technical issues on assigned projects
  • Monitor production processes in manufacturing facilities
  • Review non-conforming materials and justify their use, rework, or rejection
  • Responsible for Return Material Authorization activities
  • Compile and interpret test and analysis results. Prepare reports, charts, and graphs
  • Assist the production manager in defining needs for improving manufacturing processes
  • Provide cost estimates for materials, documentation, and/or labor

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience in an industrial product manufacturing environment
  • Experience working with and implementing an ERP system
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, detail-oriented
  • Strong technical verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly motivated and self-directed
  • Proficient with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office programs
