Qualifications

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or any other technical degree.

Work Experience Required:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in the packaging industry or related field, with experience in applications engineering.

Other Skills:

  • Exceptional technical skills with a deep understanding of technical and commercial terms.
  • Ability to interpret architectural, mechanical, and electrical blueprints, with a solid understanding of basic electrical and mechanical control systems.
  • Advanced English communication skills, with proficiency in a second language being an asset (Spanish, German).
  • Advanced computer skills (MS Office, AutoCAD, Inventor, Solid Edge).
  • Availability for business travel.

Responsibilities

General:

  • Act as the primary point of contact with technology owners.
  • Maintain expert-level product knowledge and application.
  • Provide technical/product training to sales, after-sales service, project management, and engineering teams.

Sales:

  • Collaborate with the sales department/regional units to define sales and profit targets for the technology.
  • Support the sales department/regional units in developing sales and service programs, pricing, assembly, and sales strategy to achieve set targets.
  • Implement necessary tools and information (e.g., sales-related information for Camos, engineering-related information such as part numbers, drawings, bills of materials, or assembly-related information such as drawings).
  • Assist the sales team throughout processes including customer consultation, cost estimation, flow sheet preparation, project drawing & quotation, technical and commercial clarification (particularly performance guarantees), and negotiation.

Order Execution:

  • Support order execution, detailed engineering, and assembly teams throughout processes including technical and commercial order execution, preparation of detailed technical specifications.
  • Support the service team during erection & commissioning, troubleshooting, and servicing.

Improvement and Development:

  • Collaborate with the sales department/regional units to identify necessary solution improvements and innovations.
  • Work with technology owners to determine effective implementation strategies.
  • Provide assistance during improvement and innovation development.
  • Perform any other duties as requested.
