Senior Industrial Programmer (Daleyuville)

Programming systems of varying complexity is YOUR domain!
As a key member of the automation and controls team, you will be responsible for programming systems of different complexities and overseeing their commissioning both at the factory and, occasionally, at client sites.

Your main tasks will include:

  • Developing, executing, and commissioning projects under your responsibility:
    • Conducting functional analysis based on reviews with the project manager;
    • Programming PLCs, operator interfaces, servo motor controllers, and machine safety relays;
    • Participating in commissioning, factory testing, and FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) with the client;
    • Performing on-site commissioning at client locations as needed;
    • Contributing to the writing of user manuals;
    • Supporting the after-sales service for the projects you undertake.
  • Participating in resolving technical issues of varying complexity;
  • Collaborating with the mechanical team and after-sales service;
  • Occasionally acting as a technical expert in risk analyses.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, automated production engineering, or robotics engineering with 5 years of relevant experience OR a DEC in automation, industrial electronics, or electrical engineering technology with 10 years of relevant experience;
  • Strong knowledge of industrial electricity, instrumentation, and control systems;
  • Good understanding of mechatronics, pneumatics, and hydraulics principles;
  • Demonstrated interest in programming automated systems, safety systems, and industrial networking;
  • Ability to manage priorities in a multi-project environment;
  • Strong analytical and planning skills;
  • Resourcefulness and problem-solving ability;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite;
  • Functional proficiency in technical English (8/10);
  • Availability to travel (2 to 3 months per year);
  • Knowledge of industrial networking and machine safety (an asset);
  • Familiarity with major automation products from brands like Allen-Bradley, Omron, Schneider, and Yaskawa (an asset).
