CNC Machinist

We are looking for one or more Precision Machinists-Programmers with experience on 3, 4, 5 axis CNC milling and lathe machines to join our team.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret technical drawings, drafts, and examine part samples to produce quality parts.
  • Make and modify G-Code programs.
  • Prepare the tools and fixtures for production.
  • Calculate dimensions and tolerances, measure and match the elements to be machined.
  • Perform machine setups.
  • Design and make fixtures for parts machining.
  • Set, operate, and maintain machine tools to perform precision machining.
  • Check, using precision measuring instruments, whether the parts are accurate and compliant with customer specifications.

Education

  • DVS Machining Technics – AVS Machining or;
  • Vocational diploma in machining mechanic or;
  • Similar studies (or any other combination of training and relevant experience will be considered).
  • Ability to communicate in basic English or French.

Skills

  • Knowledge of programming software (Cad Cam software). Knowledge of TopSolid is an asset.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints.
  • Experience in machining precision parts.
  • Knowledge of measuring instruments.
  • Basic knowledge of computer systems.

Experience

  • 3 years+ of experience as a machinist/programmer.
