Industrial Construction Project Director

Your Role

The Project Director oversees all stages of a construction project. From start to finish, the smooth running of activities rests on their shoulders. Supported by a competent team, they skillfully manage resources on the site.

Your extensive project management experience allows you to handle the most complex situations with calm and confidence. Your leadership is undeniable. Making tough decisions, finding ingenious solutions, and managing conflicts is in your nature.

More Specifically, You Will:

  • Manage and coordinate human resources and project logistics with the help of the project manager and superintendent;
  • Plan and control construction costs;
  • Establish the schedule and monitor the progress of the work;
  • Negotiate and award contracts to subcontractors;
  • Ensure, in collaboration with the project manager, the safety of the site;
  • Verify shop drawings;
  • Manage change notices;
  • Coordinate site meetings;
  • Establish and maintain necessary communications with subcontractors, professionals, and the client;
  • Approve invoices from subcontractors and suppliers, and oversee client billing;
  • Archive end-of-project documents and prepare end-of-project manuals to be handed over to the client;
  • Develop the skills of the project managers under your responsibility.

The Ideal Candidate for This Position Is:

  • A construction or civil engineering professional with 10 years of experience in the field;
  • A veteran in the construction industry: 20 years of experience in managing large-scale projects.

You Possess:

  • Knowledge of the following software: Office suite, Outlook, Maestro, AutoCAD;
  • Excellent command of French and English, both written and spoken;
  • Strong communication skills.
