Mechanical Project Engineer, Electrohydraulics (St-Bruno)

Your Role

Main Responsibilities

Project Management (70%)

  • Assess the technical feasibility of projects in collaboration with the engineering director.
  • Design custom mechanical solutions: servo-cylinders, actuators, mechanical structures, and components for electrohydraulic systems.
  • Model and draft in 3D (SolidWorks).
  • Manage timelines and ensure quality execution (testing and validation).
  • Document projects: reports, plans, and technical follow-ups.
  • Actively participate in system installations (at MCS or client sites).
  • Support representatives during technical meetings with clients.
  • Commission systems and provide training to users.

Technical Support (25%)

  • Act as a technical expert for developed and distributed products.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues and propose sustainable solutions.
  • Support internal teams and clients.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of products and processes.

Continuous Improvement and Technology Watch (5%)

  • Participate in training and development projects.
  • Explore new technologies and materials.
  • Document innovations for knowledge transfer.

Profile Sought

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Member of the Ordre des ingĂ©nieurs du QuĂ©bec (or in the process of becoming one).
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and good knowledge of AutoCAD.
  • Excellent understanding of electrohydraulic systems.
  • Knowledge of reading hydraulic plans.
  • Ability to travel occasionally (passport required).
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Strong manual skills and practical sense.
