Technical Project Manager

With us you will:

  • Participate in meetings with clients to determine their needs;
  • Be responsible for taking data and field measurements;
  • Establish requirements and prepare proposals;
  • Lead product installation operations with installation technicians;
  • Certify installations and provide approval documents according to current standards;
  • Communicate to sales staff that products are approved;
  • Support ISO-9001 and ISO-17025 quality systems and ensure that ISO standards are met;
  • Identify any discrepancies with specifications and tolerances and notify your supervisor;
  • Analyze encountered problems and find alternative solutions;
  • Anticipate and determine specific needs for raw materials, special tools, fastening elements (for assembly), or other necessary components according to the project or product to be manufactured;
  • Prepare purchase requisitions for project products;
  • Provide technical support to the production department as needed;
  • Maintain a clean work environment;
  • Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to work procedures for yourself and your colleagues;
  • Calculate dimensions and tolerances, measure and arrange elements to be assembled.

Laboratory Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the commissioning of tests on the test bench and maintain it in working condition;
  • Develop, modify, verify, and validate laboratory assembly and testing methods as needed;
  • Analyze results, declare compliance, and provide your opinion/interpretation;
  • Produce a report;
  • Review results.

Required Skills

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering;
  • Knowledge of worker protection standards (against falls from heights and in confined spaces is an asset);
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in the design and management of infrastructure projects or a related field;
  • Member of the Quebec Order of Engineers;
  • Experience working with various machining tools;
  • Knowledge of welding processes (GMAW and GTAW);
  • Ability to read and interpret plans;
  • Ability to measure parts (using conventional measuring instruments);
  • Flexibility (work process and work plan);
  • Basic knowledge of computer-aided design software (ProEngineer or CREO is an asset) and Microsoft Suite.

  • Ability to demonstrate a good level of autonomy;
  • Ability to follow methodological processes, good manual dexterity, rigor, excellent spatial perception, and good team spirit;
  • Intermediate English.
