Job Description:
Under the supervision of the Director of Infrastructure, the Civil Engineering Project Manager is responsible for the full management of projects from design to delivery. They functionally supervise their team to ensure compliance with laws, standards, and client requirements. Without direct supervision of employees, the position involves traffic engineering and municipal engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design traffic maintenance measures during construction.
- Create plans and specifications for permanent signage and road markings.
- Conduct traffic studies and assess road safety.
- Analyze traffic counts and perform software-based simulations.
- Design urban infrastructure.
- Prepare budget estimates and set contractual timelines.
- Inspect sites to ensure compliance with temporary signage and manage traffic flow.
- Conduct necessary preliminary studies, surveys, and inspections.
- Prepare bid documents, analyze submissions, and issue recommendations for awarding contracts.
- Ensure work compliance with plans and specifications.
- Manage all project phases: inspections, issue resolution, meetings, negotiation of additional work, and provisional and final handovers.
- Control and evaluate projects, adhering to schedules, specifications, and budgets.
- Produce budget forecasts and ensure project billing.
- Collaborate closely with team members to meet quality and timeline objectives.
- Supervise and provide feedback to site inspectors.
- Keep knowledge up to date and explore technological and methodological innovations.
- Participate in service proposals and coordination with clients and partners.
Job Requirements:
Core Skills:
- Excellent proficiency in French (oral and written).
- Functional knowledge of English (oral and written).
Technical Skills:
- Expertise in civil engineering, design, road geometry, urban infrastructure, or site management.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.

Required Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction engineering.
- Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
- Construction site safety certification (ASP card).
Required Experience:
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in civil engineering.
