Electrical Project Engineer (Brossard)

Job Description

We are looking for a talented and passionate Electrical Project Engineer to join our team and play a key role in managing and executing electrical projects. You will be responsible for leading the entire process, from detailed engineering to on-site supervision, while ensuring administrative and technical project oversight.

Responsibilities:

  • Take charge of detailed engineering for electrical systems in medium and low voltage projects.
  • Analyze project requirements and determine specific needs.
  • Perform accurate cost estimations to ensure budget adherence.
  • Define project scope and ensure all stages are properly defined.
  • Prepare project designs, develop necessary plans and specifications.
  • Supervise engineering drawings in collaboration with drafters.
  • Prepare tender documents to ensure clear and efficient procurement processes.
  • Manage project start-ups and monitor site work to ensure smooth progress.
  • Supervise site inspectors and coordinate their activities.
  • Maintain rigorous administrative oversight, including schedule, budget, and project reports.

Skills Required:

  • Registered member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in electrical engineering.
  • Mastery of standards and procedures for designing electrical systems in medium and low voltage, particularly for municipal, commercial, and industrial applications, including underground electrical distribution.
  • Excellent teamwork skills with strong organizational abilities.
  • Consulting engineering experience with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Knowledge of lighting and control systems, proficiency with AGI32 software.
  • Familiarity with fire alarm systems is an asset.
  • Excellent proficiency in French.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is a plus.
