Description
We are actively seeking a dynamic and experienced Pre-Construction Project Manager to join our team in Laval. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient project planning and preparation before the start of the construction phase.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluation and preliminary analysis of projects: Conduct feasibility studies, analyze existing sites and plans, and assess resource needs for each project.
- Planning and coordination: Work closely with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop detailed project plans, including schedules, budgets, and technical specifications.
- Pre-construction budget management: Prepare accurate cost estimates for pre-construction phases to ensure project profitability and financial viability.
- Selection of subcontractors and suppliers: Assist in selecting and negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers for materials and services required for pre-construction.
- Risks and compliance: Identify potential project risks and propose mitigation strategies. Ensure all aspects of the project comply with local construction standards and regulations in Laval.
- Documentation and reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of all pre-construction phases, produce regular progress reports, and effectively communicate this information to management and stakeholders.
- Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for all questions and decisions related to the pre-construction phase of the project.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, architecture, construction management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in construction project management, with a strong preference for pre-construction experience.
- Thorough knowledge of construction practices, building codes, and local regulations in Laval.
- Excellent project management skills, including planning, cost estimation, and risk management.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in French and English.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet strict deadlines.
