Job Description:
As Purchasing Director, you will be responsible for developing and implementing an effective procurement strategy aligned with the organization’s strategic goals. You will also oversee supplier relationship management, purchasing department supervision, and internal customer service management.
Responsibilities:
Supplier Relationship Management:
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure optimal purchasing terms while maintaining product and service quality.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliable supply and adherence to quality standards.
- Regularly evaluate supplier performance and implement continuous improvement strategies.
Purchasing Department Management:
- Develop and implement a procurement strategy aligned with organizational goals.
- Supervise and coordinate purchasing activities across the company.
- Manage and optimize the procurement process, including supplier selection, contract management, and department performance evaluation.
Internal Customer Service Management:
- Collaborate closely with other departments to understand and effectively address their procurement needs.
- Ensure high-quality internal customer service by ensuring availability of necessary products and services while adhering to budgets and timelines.
- Facilitate communication and proactively resolve issues to maintain productive relationships with internal clients.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a purchasing leadership role or similar position.
- In-depth knowledge of procurement industry dynamics.
- Strong negotiation skills and contract management expertise.
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to a collaborative environment.
