Quality Assurance EXPERT – QA (Montreal)

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Expert to oversee the quality of our products, with a specific focus on software releases and a collaborative approach to improving our quality standards. This position is full-time remote, with a minimum requirement of 2 to 3 days per month presence at our Trois-Rivières office, depending on projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the product development team, cross-functional teams (software, robotics, welding processes), and various stakeholders to align quality assurance efforts.
  • Participate in product testing and validation efforts.
  • Create test plans and execute functional, integration, and regression tests to identify defects and ensure smooth integration.
  • Monitor and analyze test results and assist in issue identification.
  • Evaluate and improve quality assurance processes, methodologies, and tools.
  • Provide recommendations and guidance to the Product Director, team leads, and development teams to ensure product quality.
  • Ensure our products meet specifications.
  • Develop a test vision and version approval procedure.
  • Contribute to the development of test strategies and tactics.

Skills:

  • Essential bilingualism (spoken and written) to interact with various international partners (75% of the time).
  • University or college degree in a technological field.
  • 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in a leadership role in quality assurance or similar position, preferably in a software product-focused environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Experience in test automation at various levels (unit, integration, end-to-end).
  • Strong experience and understanding of product development and engineering practices.
  • Experience in integration and regression testing of complex products strongly desired.
  • Experience in robotics or related fields would be an asset.
  • Quality assurance certification is a plus.
