Senior Civil Engineer in Urban Infrastructure and Hydraulics Design

Our client, an engineering firm renowned for its excellence in the field of urban infrastructure, is seeking to recruit a Senior Civil Engineer in Urban Infrastructure and Hydraulics Design to strengthen its dynamic team based in Brossard. Main Responsibilities

  • Design and oversee urban infrastructure projects, including water supply networks, sewer systems, and drainage.
  • Conduct hydraulic and hydrological studies to ensure compliance with municipal, provincial, and environmental standards.
  • Prepare plans, specifications, and cost estimates for development or rehabilitation projects.
  • Coordinate activities with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders (municipalities, contractors, etc.).
  • Ensure technical follow-up and quality management of deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide technical support to junior engineers and participate in their mentorship.
  • Contribute to drafting technical proposals to secure new contracts.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering; a master’s degree in hydraulics or a related field is an asset.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in urban infrastructure design and hydraulics.
  • Active membership with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, PCSWMM, or equivalents.
  • In-depth knowledge of applicable standards and regulations in Quebec (BNQ, MTQ, etc.).
  • Strong project management skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines and budgets.
  • Excellent command of French, both spoken and written; knowledge of English is an asset.
  • Team spirit, leadership, and a strong aptitude for problem-solving.
