Senior Financial Controller – CPA (Joliette)

Description:

We are looking for a Senior Financial Controller (CPA) to join our executive team at the head office in Joliette to contribute to the continuous growth of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior Financial Controller, you will play a key role in the financial management of the company and ensure that accounting practices adhere to current standards and requirements. You will collaborate closely with senior management and oversee an accounting team.

  • Supervise all accounting operations, including bookkeeping, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with CPA accounting standards.
  • Develop and analyze financial reports to support strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure financial control, including cash flow management, financial forecasting, and resource optimization.
  • Coordinate external audits and ensure tax and regulatory compliance.
  • Supervise the accounting team, provide mentoring, and ensure smooth process execution.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of financial systems and internal controls.
  • Collaborate closely with project teams to ensure rigorous financial oversight of ongoing projects.
  • Contribute to optimizing accounting processes and propose solutions to enhance efficiency.

Required Qualifications:

  • Mandatory CPA (Chartered Professional Accountant) designation.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in accounting, with significant experience in the construction industry or a related sector.
  • Strong skills in financial analysis, budgeting, and management control.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel).
  • Excellent proficiency in French, both oral and written.
  • Leadership, rigor, and ability to work in a team.

Assets:

  • Knowledge of financial issues specific to the construction industry.
  • Experience with ERP tools and specialized software in the construction field.
