Your Role and Responsibilities

Financial and Accounting Management

  • Supervise the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Manage and optimize cash flows, budgets, and financial forecasts.
  • Coordinate the production of financial reports and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Collaborate with external auditors for year-end closing and ensure tax compliance.

Financial Analysis and Strategy

  • Provide in-depth financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize costs and improve profitability.
  • Ensure rigorous monitoring of financial performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support company growth.

Financial Processes and Tools Management

  • Modernize and automate accounting and financial processes to improve operational efficiency.
  • Ensure rigorous management of financial risks and internal controls.
  • Participate in the implementation and optimization of an ERP or advanced financial tools.
  • Develop internal financial policies and procedures tailored to the company’s needs.

Collaboration and Leadership

  • Coach and mentor the accounting team to ensure effective and proactive management.
  • Work closely with senior management and operational teams.
  • Participate in strategic meetings and play a key role in financial planning for the company.

Your Profile

We are seeking a rigorous and strategic professional with excellent mastery of accounting and financial principles.

Education and Experience

  • CPA designation (mandatory).
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration (or equivalent).
  • 10+ years of experience in accounting or financial control, ideally in an engineering, construction, or manufacturing firm.

Skills and Competencies

  • Excellent mastery of Canadian accounting and tax standards.
  • Strong skills in financial analysis, budget forecasting, and cash flow management.
  • Ability to optimize processes and structure a financial department.
  • Comfort with accounting software and ERP tools.
  • Sharp business acumen and a strategic, proactive approach.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
