Your Role and Responsibilities
Financial and Accounting Management
- Supervise the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Manage and optimize cash flows, budgets, and financial forecasts.
- Coordinate the production of financial reports and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Collaborate with external auditors for year-end closing and ensure tax compliance.
Financial Analysis and Strategy
- Provide in-depth financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Identify opportunities to optimize costs and improve profitability.
- Ensure rigorous monitoring of financial performance indicators (KPIs).
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support company growth.
Financial Processes and Tools Management
- Modernize and automate accounting and financial processes to improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure rigorous management of financial risks and internal controls.
- Participate in the implementation and optimization of an ERP or advanced financial tools.
- Develop internal financial policies and procedures tailored to the company’s needs.
Collaboration and Leadership
- Coach and mentor the accounting team to ensure effective and proactive management.
- Work closely with senior management and operational teams.
- Participate in strategic meetings and play a key role in financial planning for the company.
Your Profile
We are seeking a rigorous and strategic professional with excellent mastery of accounting and financial principles.
Education and Experience
- CPA designation (mandatory).
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration (or equivalent).
- 10+ years of experience in accounting or financial control, ideally in an engineering, construction, or manufacturing firm.
Skills and Competencies
- Excellent mastery of Canadian accounting and tax standards.
- Strong skills in financial analysis, budget forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Ability to optimize processes and structure a financial department.
- Comfort with accounting software and ERP tools.
- Sharp business acumen and a strategic, proactive approach.
- Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
