The mandate

 

Larouche Raymond is representing a confidential client, a leading consulting engineering firm strengthening its technical teams across Greater Montreal. Whether your strength lies in structural, building mechanical, electrical, civil, process, or environmental engineering, this role offers real mandates and a diverse client base. You will carry projects from design through commissioning, with genuine ownership at every stage. The hybrid model lets you balance focused design work at the office with on-site presence as project needs dictate.

The role day to day

 
  • Design, analyze, and deliver technical projects in your discipline, from preliminary studies through final handover.
  • Produce drawings, specifications, calculations, and reports that meet applicable codes and client requirements.
  • Coordinate deliverables with other disciplines and ensure seamless multidisciplinary integration.
  • Conduct site visits, construction supervision, and conformity follow-up.
  • Estimate costs, manage schedules, and keep mandates on budget.
  • Serve as a technical point of contact for clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Mentor and review the work of technicians and junior engineers as needed.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the firm’s practices, tools, and quality standards.

The ideal profile

 
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (civil, mechanical, electrical, structural, process, or environmental).
  • Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ), or eligible in the short term.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, ideally in a consulting engineering setting.
  • Strong command of the codes, standards, and software specific to your discipline.
  • Solid project management and multidisciplinary coordination skills.
  • Rigour, autonomy, a genuine client-service mindset, and excellent French communication skills, both spoken and written.
  • Valid driver’s licence for travel to project sites.
