Industrial Electrician, up to $100,000 — L’Orignal (On-site)

The mandate

Larouche Raymond is representing a confidential client, a major steel producer in Eastern Ontario whose plant runs around the clock, 24/7. In this environment, electrical reliability is mission-critical — every hour of downtime counts. Our client is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to strengthen its maintenance team in L’Orignal, Ontario. You will play a direct role in the performance and safety of a plant that never stops.

The role day to day

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on plant electrical equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical breakdowns and restore production quickly on equipment running around the clock.
• Repair and maintain motors, starters, variable frequency drives and electrical distribution systems.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and instrumentation.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings.
• Assist with the installation and modification of equipment as part of improvement projects.
• Rigorously apply lockout/tagout procedures and health and safety standards.
• Document work performed and collaborate with maintenance and production teams.

The ideal profile

• Valid Ontario Industrial Electrician licence (442A or recognized equivalent).
• Minimum of 3 years of electrical maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills under pressure.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and work from drawings.
• Availability for rotating shifts in a 24/7 operation.
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Autonomy, reliability and team spirit.
