The mandate

 

Larouche Raymond is representing a confidential client, a well-established organization in municipal infrastructure and urban civil engineering, seeking a seasoned project manager. You will lead high-profile mandates: network rehabilitation, public-realm developments and civil engineering works. Acting as the linchpin between technical teams, stakeholders and contractors, you will safeguard schedules, budgets and standards. This is an opportunity to exercise genuine leadership on visible, meaningful projects in a dynamic hybrid environment.

The role day to day

 
  • Plan, coordinate and deliver multiple concurrent urban infrastructure projects, from design through final acceptance.
  • Manage budgets, schedules and resources while maintaining rigorous cost and risk control.
  • Oversee consulting engineering firms, contractors and subcontractors, and validate deliverable compliance.
  • Draft and administer tender documents, contracts and payment requests.
  • Act as liaison with municipalities, utilities and community stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to technical standards, specifications, regulations and site health-and-safety requirements.
  • Produce progress reports and present project status to management and committees.
  • Anticipate technical challenges and propose durable, optimized solutions.

The ideal profile

 
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience managing infrastructure or urban civil engineering projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction engineering or a related field.
  • Membership in the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) a strong asset; PMP certification a plus.
  • Command of public tendering processes and contract management.
  • Solid knowledge of municipal standards, technical specifications and underground works.
  • Leadership, strong organizational skills and a proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in parallel.
  • Excellent communication skills, fluency in French and proficiency with project management software (MS Project or equivalent).
