Executive Director — IT Audit — Montréal — Up to $170,000

A leading professional services firm with international reach and a strong Montreal presence is seeking an Executive Director specialized in information technology audit. This is a high-level strategic mandate: advising the senior leadership of major organizations, leading complex engagements and playing a direct role in growing the practice.

The mandate

This role exists to lead a portfolio of IT audit engagements for large organizations while actively contributing to the development of the practice. The Executive Director will oversee the teams responsible for delivery and ensure the quality, profitability and sound governance of every engagement. They will maintain lasting strategic client relationships and identify new business opportunities. Within the first year, the expectation is to establish themselves as a trusted advisor to audit committees and to contribute measurably to the growth of the practice.

The role day to day

• Lead complex IT audit, technology controls and risk management engagements.
• Assess IT general controls, including access, change management, IT operations, cybersecurity and business continuity.
• Oversee engagements covering application controls, compliance, IT governance and technology transformations.
• Advise senior executives, audit committees and technology leaders, presenting findings, risks and recommendations.
• Drive service proposals, client presentations and business development activities.
• Coach, engage and develop the managers and professionals on the team.
• Collaborate with related practices: cybersecurity, governance, compliance, data and digital transformation.

The ideal profile

• Substantial experience in IT audit, technology risk, internal controls or advisory services, gained within a professional services firm, ideally a Big Four environment.
• Proven track record leading complex engagements and managing a client portfolio.
• Excellent command of IT general controls, application controls and IT governance frameworks.
• CISA certification strongly preferred; CPA, CIA, CISSP, CISM or CRISC designations are assets.
• University degree in information technology, accounting, business administration, risk management or a related field.
• French-English bilingualism required.
