- Provide technical support to operators and maintenance staff on robotic equipment.
- Document processes, write work instructions and maintain reference welding parameters.
- Contribute to continuous-improvement projects and the rollout of new welding equipment.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards (CWB/CSA W47.1) and shop-floor health and safety rules.
The ideal profile
- Training in mechanical engineering, welding or engineering technology (college diploma or bachelor’s degree), or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in robotic welding or welding-process automation.
- Proficiency in programming industrial robots (Fanuc, ABB, Motoman or equivalent).
- Solid knowledge of welding processes (MIG/MAG, arc, resistance), basic metallurgy and welding symbols on technical drawings.
- Analytical mindset, autonomy and rigour in solving shop-floor problems.
- Certification in or familiarity with CWB/CSA W47.1 standards, an asset.
