Larouche Raymond is representing a confidential client — a leading Greater Montreal employer — in its search for a seasoned leader able to combine energy strategy, sustainable transition and engineering rigour. The role brings together long-term vision, leadership of multidisciplinary teams and direct influence with senior management. You will concretely shape the energy direction of an ambitious organization at the heart of major decarbonization challenges. The role day to day
- Define and deploy the organization’s overall energy strategy, aligned with growth and decarbonization objectives.
- Lead engineering and energy project teams, ensuring quality, timelines and adherence to capital budgets.
- Assess and prioritize investments in energy efficiency, generation and technology infrastructure.
- Establish energy transition and greenhouse gas reduction roadmaps.
- Represent the organization with partners, energy suppliers, regulators and government bodies.
- Ensure compliance with applicable technical, environmental and safety standards.
- Oversee business cases, feasibility studies and major capital projects.
- Advise senior leadership and the board on energy-related risks and opportunities.
The ideal profile
- Minimum 12 years of progressive experience in engineering, energy or large-scale project management.
- Proven track record leading multidisciplinary teams and managing investment portfolios.
- University degree in engineering; professional engineer designation (OIQ) strongly preferred.
- Strong command of energy transition, efficiency and decarbonization challenges.
- Mobilizing leadership and a demonstrated ability to influence senior management and drive strategic initiatives.
- Excellent negotiation, budget management and project governance skills; political acumen and analytical rigour.
- Fluency in French; functional English an asset.
