Senior IT Director — Napierville — Up to $170,000

A well-established Quebec company, with offices in the heart of Montréal and on the South Shore, is looking for its next Senior IT Director. This is the opportunity many senior IT leaders are waiting for: stepping into a truly strategic role while staying anchored in day-to-day operations.

The mandate

You will set the strategic vision and technology governance of the IT department while taking an active part in execution and process improvement. You will lead the IT team and ensure the security and performance of the systems that support the company’s business objectives. The first year focuses on delivering the infrastructure and services roadmap and strengthening the information security program, within a culture built on collaboration and agility.

The role day to day

  • Lead and manage the members of the IT team directly.
  • Drive the execution of the roadmap to deliver new infrastructure and service projects.
  • Deliver a high-quality support experience to users, handling level 1 and level 2 requests per SLA when needed.
  • Partner with managers across all departments to address their infrastructure and IT service needs.
  • Manage recurring IT operations, including user onboarding, vendor management, inventory management and license renewals.
  • Oversee the Infosec program, supporting policy application and control compliance.
  • Develop training programs on tools, security and processes so every IT tool is used to its full potential.

The ideal profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or IT service management (or equivalent).
  • More than 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure and services, including at least 2 years in a management role.
  • Expert in private and public cloud hosting, including backup, recovery and business continuity techniques.
  • Experience with network infrastructure and telephony solutions, plus the implementation of an ITSM system and a support structure for incidents and service requests.
  • Experience with MDM solutions, endpoint security and O365 services administration.
  • Bilingual (French and English), with English used frequently with anglophone vendors.
