The mandate

 

Larouche Raymond is representing a confidential client: a well-established manufacturing organization in the St-Jérôme area, in the Laurentians. Our client is seeking a seasoned leader to steer its entire maintenance function. You will own equipment reliability, asset performance and the growth of a strong preventive-maintenance culture. This strategic role offers genuine autonomy and a direct impact on plant productivity.

The role day to day

 
  • Lead, coach and mobilize the maintenance team (mechanics, electrotechnicians, planners) and support skills development.
  • Design and deploy the preventive and predictive maintenance strategy to maximize equipment availability.
  • Manage the maintenance budget, control costs and optimize investments in parts and assets.
  • Drive the asset-reliability program and reduce unplanned downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards (CNESST) and applicable environmental regulations.
  • Coordinate continuous-improvement, automation and facility-modernization projects.
  • Negotiate and manage relationships with suppliers, subcontractors and specialized contractors.
  • Establish and track maintenance and CMMS key performance indicators.

The ideal profile

 
  • Minimum 10 years of industrial maintenance experience, including several years in team management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial engineering, or an equivalent technical background.
  • Strong command of preventive and predictive maintenance and of CMMS systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of equipment reliability, hydraulics, pneumatics and automation.
  • Solid understanding of health-and-safety standards and environmental considerations.
  • Inspiring leadership, strong organizational skills and disciplined priority management.
  • Ability to manage budgets and make sound investment decisions; proficiency in French, with functional English an asset.
