The mandate
A well-established Quebec civil engineering consulting firm with 25 years of experience in the planning, design, delivery and management of infrastructure projects is seeking a project manager focused on site supervision to contribute to major projects across Greater Montreal. You will join a committed, multidisciplinary team with a strong culture of listening, mentorship and skills development, working on varied mandates covering water mains, sewers, roadworks, pavements, roads and parking facilities. It is an ideal setting to grow your expertise, from the design office to the job site.
The role day to day
- Plan the technical stages of projects, from surveys through concept development
- Define the scope of work based on client requirements and the regulatory framework
- Develop project designs in compliance with applicable standards and prepare plans and specifications
- Produce project cost estimates and manage detailed civil engineering design
- Launch projects and ensure their proper execution
- Oversee site supervision to keep projects on schedule and up to standard
- Handle administrative follow-up, including budget and schedule management
The ideal profile
- Civil engineering diploma (university or college level), completed or nearing completion
- Minimum of 3 years of experience on projects carried out in Quebec
- Knowledge of municipal infrastructure: water mains, sewers, roadworks, pavements
- Demonstrated ability to prepare plans and specifications and estimate project costs
- Rigour in tracking budgets, schedules and applicable standards
