Building Mechanical Project Manager, up to $110,000 — Laval (Hybrid)

The mandate

Larouche Raymond is representing a confidential client, a consulting engineering firm active in building mechanical systems. To support its operations, our client is seeking a Building Mechanical Project Manager to steer varied mandates from concept through to delivery. You will own the technical, budgetary and client-facing management of your projects, working closely with clients, contractors and engineering teams. The position is based in Laval, on a hybrid schedule, with compensation of up to $110,000.

The role day to day

• Plan, coordinate and deliver building mechanical projects (HVAC, plumbing) from design through to delivery.
• Contribute to the preparation of plans and specifications in collaboration with the engineering team.
• Take ownership of project budgets, schedules and deliverable quality.
• Coordinate project stakeholders, including clients, architects, contractors and subcontractors.
• Contribute to design, estimating and the selection of mechanical equipment.
• Oversee site reviews, quality control and compliance with applicable Québec codes and standards.
• Maintain strong, professional relationships with clients and project partners.
• Promote occupational health and safety best practices.

The ideal profile

• DEC in building mechanics, bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or other relevant training.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience managing building mechanical or HVAC projects.
• Excellent command of plans, specifications and Québec standards.
• Strong budgeting, planning and team coordination skills.
• Proficiency with the MS Office suite and project management tools (MS Project or equivalent).
• Bilingualism (French and English), a strong asset.
• Valid driver’s licence (Class 5).
