The mandate
Our client, a North American leader in electric vehicle charging with deep roots in Quebec, operates one of the largest EV charging networks on the continent and plays a direct role in the shift to sustainable mobility. As part of its growth, it is looking for a Channel Distribution Manager to lead the residential side of its business across Canada. This is a strategic, highly visible mandate: you will own the structure, activation, monitoring and optimization of the entire partner network that distributes its home charging solutions, with a measurable impact on sales growth and market coverage.
The role day to day
- Structure and manage the distribution channels (distributors, retailers, installers, automotive partners), including territory rules, priorities and interactions with direct sales
- Lead the onboarding and activation of new partners: product training, tools, documentation and ordering processes
- Track key performance indicators by partner and by channel (sales, inventory, pipeline, order regularity) and produce actionable weekly and monthly reports
- Run performance reviews with strategic partners and deploy concrete action plans to close gaps against targets
- Build channel sales forecasts and contribute to the sales and operations planning (S&OP) process
- Work with product, operations and marketing teams to resolve field issues and support partners
- Recommend adding, pausing or removing partners and continuously improve processes, tools and incentives
The ideal profile
- A university degree in commerce, business administration, sales management, marketing or a related field, or equivalent
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in channel management, partnerships or distribution
- Strong command of performance-tracking, reporting and CRM tools
- Excellent communication in French and English, spoken and written, to work with partners and teams across Canada
- Knowledge of operational processes, EDI and 3PL logistics is an asset
