A well-established Quebec-based organization, recognized for the rigour of its talent management practices, is strengthening its organizational development team. It is looking for a specialist who can turn business needs into concrete training programs that genuinely move skills forward on the ground. A substantive mandate for someone who enjoys designing as much as delivering.
The mandate
Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the incumbent owns the full training cycle: needs analysis, instructional design, rollout and measurement of results. They work closely with managers across business units to align development paths with company priorities and regulatory requirements. By the end of the first year, the expectation is a structured training plan, standardized onboarding paths and reliable tracking indicators reported regularly to leadership.
The role day to day

- Design in-class, online and blended learning paths, and produce the supporting instructional material.
- Facilitate workshops and onboarding sessions, and coach internal trainers as they develop their practice.
- Administer the learning management system (LMS): enrolments, content updates and tracking of mandatory certifications.
- Measure program effectiveness through precise indicators (completion rates, evaluations, transfer of learning) and recommend the necessary adjustments.
- Coordinate external vendors and monitor the training budget in compliance with Quebec’s Skills Act (the 1% law).
- Contribute to organizational development projects: skills mapping, succession planning and change management.
The ideal profile
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, education or adult learning, or equivalent training.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in training and skills development, including hands-on instructional design experience.
- Proficiency with a learning management system (LMS) and content authoring tools such as Articulate, Rise or Camtasia.
